Weekly Update 1/22/2018-1/25/18

Hello families,

Here are this week’s announcements!

*LIBRARY DAY IS TOMORROW!  Please send your child’s book with them to school on Tuesday.

*If you have any BoxTops, please send them in! The kids would LOVE to earn a movie party!

*Scholastic Book catalogs will come home on Tuesday.  Deadline to submit orders is Monday, January 28th!

*Our unit 3 sight words were sent home Wednesday.  Please make sure to read the note that came along with it. It has important information about a new weekly addition to the spelling testdictated sentences.

*Next week I will send a sign-up link for our Valentine’s Day party, as well as a list of student names in our class for writing Valentines.  Valentine’s Day falls on a Thursday this year!

*In class last week, we had quite a few conversations about interrupting others, as well as being concerned with other kids’ business. The expectation is that we will take turns talking, and we will not worry about other people’s business unless it is causing a problem for us. You can help by chatting with your child about these topics, and what you expect from them at school with regard to these behaviors. Thank you for your help! 😊
