Weekly Update 12/9-12/13

Hello, everyone!

It has been two weeks since I sent out a weekly update, but I am ready to return to regular updates! I hope everyone had a wonderful Thanksgiving.  Christmas will be here in just a couple of weeks!  Please read on for this week’s announcements

If you would like to volunteer for the Grinch movie/snack time, please send me an email.  We will begin the movie around 1:30, take a recess break 2:20-2:35, then come in for our Grinch snack, and resume watching the movie until the end of the day. You are welcome to come in and watch the movie with us.  If you just want to help out with the party, then plan on getting here about 2:15 to start set up.

*Please help me!  I need help with a couple of things that can be done at home.  Here’s what I needplease email me if you are interested/available to help. I appreciate it very much!

Weekly Update 11/4-11/8

Hello, everyone!

Last week we had a wonderful Halloween!  We did some art, read some fun Halloween books, had a yummy snack/party, and went “track” or treating for Ghouls at School! Our class is always up for a good time, and I love how well they get along, even on the crazier days when sometimes kids get overstimulated and fall apart.

Here are this week’s announcements

*We are still waiting to hear the official announcement about the Boxtops winner. Many of you brought in even more BoxTops, so I predict we will be the winners of the doughnut and hot cocoa party!  Keep sending in BoxTops, as they will be collected throughout the year.

*We are in need of paper towel rolls. As you finish off a roll of paper towels, please send in those empty rolls. We do NOT need toilet paper rolls, only paper towel rolls.

*New sight word lists will come home on Wednesday!  This list will last until Christmas vacation.

*Subway forms came home on Friday! Order forms and money are due by Thursday, November 7th.

*I’m looking for the owner of these sunglasses, and I think they may belong to one of the parents who volunteered at the Halloween party.  Email me if these sunglasses belong to you.

*I’m sending home book order forms this week. Book orders are due by Monday, November 11. That will give us enough time to receive our orders by Thanksgiving break!

*On Monday, your child will bring home a moongazer and a moon observation recording sheet.  They will keep track of how the moon changes every few days over the next few weeks.  The kids keep asking for homework, so here it is!!!

Weekly Update 10/28-11/1

Here are this week’s announcements

*Halloween is coming! We will have a class Halloween party on Thursday, October 31, at 2:40. After our party, we will participate in Ghouls at School.  If you would like to volunteer at the party, and/or bring a party item, please click on the link below.  We still need cupcakes and Halloween treat bags (non-food items).  Also, please remember I am asking for a $2 donation from each child to purchase pizza for our party.

*Speaking of Halloween partyingyou DO NOT need to send in a snack on Halloween, as we will be having pizza and cupcakes for our snack! 😊

*Our class is in first place for the BoxTops competition!  Woo hoo!  We have a very tight lead against Mrs. Cournoyer’s class. If you have any BoxTops at home, gather them up and send them in ASAP!  It would be fun to win and earn a class party!
