Weekly Update 11/4-11/8

Hello, everyone!

Last week we had a wonderful Halloween!  We did some art, read some fun Halloween books, had a yummy snack/party, and went “track” or treating for Ghouls at School! Our class is always up for a good time, and I love how well they get along, even on the crazier days when sometimes kids get overstimulated and fall apart.

Here are this week’s announcements

*We are still waiting to hear the official announcement about the Boxtops winner. Many of you brought in even more BoxTops, so I predict we will be the winners of the doughnut and hot cocoa party!  Keep sending in BoxTops, as they will be collected throughout the year.

*We are in need of paper towel rolls. As you finish off a roll of paper towels, please send in those empty rolls. We do NOT need toilet paper rolls, only paper towel rolls.

*New sight word lists will come home on Wednesday!  This list will last until Christmas vacation.

*Subway forms came home on Friday! Order forms and money are due by Thursday, November 7th.

*I’m looking for the owner of these sunglasses, and I think they may belong to one of the parents who volunteered at the Halloween party.  Email me if these sunglasses belong to you.

*I’m sending home book order forms this week. Book orders are due by Monday, November 11. That will give us enough time to receive our orders by Thanksgiving break!

*On Monday, your child will bring home a moongazer and a moon observation recording sheet.  They will keep track of how the moon changes every few days over the next few weeks.  The kids keep asking for homework, so here it is!!!
